JESSICA ELIZABETH SPLINTER "Jessie"
Our beloved daughter, Jessica Elizabeth Splinter, passed away February 2, 2011.
We were honored with the gift of her birth on November 18th, the "First Snow" of 1993 in Sandy, Utah to Stephen and Adrienne Splinter. She had a great friend in her sister, Rachel Anne.
Jessie was an active and inquisitive child who always wanted to be learning new things. She was very creative and enjoyed playing the piano, her artwork and dance. Jessie attended the Unitarian Universalist church in both Ogden and Salt Lake. She was a Girl Scout and went on many fun adventures including one to the rain forests of Costa Rica. She loved traveling with her family to many places and was always up for a road trip. She had fun at Young Women''s Girl''s Camp. She loved snow skiing and was an accomplished equestrian, loving anything to do with riding horses. Jessie was a loyal and caring friend. She was always willing to help them in their times of need.
Jessie attended Reading Elementary in Centerville, Salt Lake Arts Academy, East High School and Wasatch Canyons.
The family wishes to thank all of the outstanding care our Jessica received from Salt Lake City Emergency personnel and the staff of the University of Utah SICU and Organ Transplant teams. They are amazing in the difficult work they do. We are at peace knowing Jessie is at rest and in the arms of angels.
We would like to thank the staff at PCMC Day Treatment program. We also wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to Roger Thompson for the support and care he and his staff has given us over the past year. Jessie is survived by her parents, sister, many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members, lots of great friends and her dog, Angel.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. A visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 pm prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment Centerville City Cemetery.
Thanks to all family, friends and colleagues for the love and support we have received from so many of you. In lieu of flowers, family suggests sharing your generosity with any organization that touches your heart most and needs your support.
