Jimmie Nakaishi, 95, passed away on March 24, 2023, in Leawood, Kansas. Jimmie was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He served in the US Airforce for 20 years and then worked at Defense Depot Ogden for 20 years before retirement.
Jimmie enjoyed gardening, golfing, and family.
Jimmie was one of 15 siblings and leaves behind many nephews and nieces that he loved. He was preceded in his death by his wife, Sumiko Sue Nakaishi (Matsumura) and Jimmie is survived by his children, Drake Nakaishi (Kathleen) Wayne, PA, Richard Nakaishi (Lana) of Washougal, WA, and Kathy Finnegan (Jim) of Leawood, KS. Jimmie and Sumiko had 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
The family has requested no Koden or flowers but expressions of appreciation can be made to the Ogden Christian Church in honor of Jimmie Nakaishi if so desired.
