Jo W. Miller, beloved wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma completed her mortal journey on July 28, 2022, in Clinton, Utah after a long battle with dementia.
Jo was born on December 10, 1948, in, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Morris Martinez Wardell and Maxine Virginia Taylor. Jo graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1967.
Shortly after graduation, she met her knight in shining armor, Danny R. Miller, which she married less than a year later, February 17, 1968, and they were married for 54 years before her passing.
They moved to Northfork, VA, where she started working for Hampton Bank. She was with Hampton Bank until 1970, when the happy couple moved to Riverdale, Utah, where they stayed for five years, and later bought their forever home in Clinton, Utah. She then started working for Citizens Bank until 1972, when she decided to take a position with the IRS. After two years with the IRS, she decided to continue her career in banking and took a new role with Zion’s Bank in 1979, where she had roles as Operations Supervisor and Assistant Vice President. She worked with Zion’s Bank until she retired in 2009, as she wanted to spend more time with Danny and her grandkids.
Jo’s family was her life, and she would do anything to make sure they were taken care of. Besides her passion for her family, Jo loved traveling whenever possible with Danny and their lifelong friends, Bob and Gayle Aardema.
Jo is survived by her husband, Danny Miller of Clinton UT; her sister Carla and Mark Smith of Edmond, OK; her two son’s Greg and Ranolla Miller of South Ogden, UT, and Jeff and Brandy Miller of South Jordan, UT. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Jaden, Madison, Austin, and Corbyn Miller: and one great-grandchild, Luke Miller. She was preceded in death, by her father, Morris Martinez Wardell, and mother Maxine Virginia Wardell.
