Joan C. Durrant

Joan C. Durrant OGDEN – Joan Chambers Durrant, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at her home of cancer. She was born in New York City, New York, a daughter of John and Elsie Manning Chambers. On November 24, 1978, Joan married Kevin Keith Durrant in Elko, Nevada. She was raised and educated in New York graduating from East Chester High School. She later lived in Salt Lake City, Roy and in Ogden. Joan worked was a writer with Defense Contracting retiring after many years of service. Joan was an artist, painter and writer. Surviving are her husband Kevin of Ogden; two sons and one daughter, Gregory Moore, Vance, AL; Timothy McConnell, Riverdale; Bethany Robbins-Holden, Phoenix, AZ; and three sisters, June Kukura, West Virginia: Claire Stanley, Salt Lake City; Anne Swanson, California. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Crematory.
