Joan C. Grissom peacefully passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 with her family by her side.

She was born on December 23, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Raymond and Blanche Mangold.

She married her husband Walter M Grissom Jr., on May 27, 1961 in Ryan, Iowa.

Joan is survived by her husband Walter, four children: Walter and his wife Gina, Michelle, Roxane Keenan and her husband Darren, Glen and his wife Shawna; her four grandchildren: Melody, Madison, Luke, and Coplin; and her sisters, Patricia Duggan, and Maxine Stein and her husband Wayne; and her brother Frank and his wife, Betty.

She was a long-time member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in West Haven, Utah.

Friends can meet the family at a visitation on Monday, April 28, from 6-8 p.m., with Rosary services at 7 p.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 29th, at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send donations to your favorite charity in Joan’s name.
