Joan M. Sorensen Ostovich

1932-2016

Joan M. Sorensen passed away from natural causes, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in Bountiful.  She was born on February 14, 1932 to Byron and Leona Engelke Miller in Ogden, UT.

Joan worked at Hill Air Force Base for 25 years and retired at age fifty-five.  She lived in the same house in Bountiful for 50 years.

She is survived by her daughters,  Halene McCandless and Wendy Uttke; grandchildren, Shilo Carlson, Justin McCandless, Shane R. Carlson, Alisa Barnes; great-grandchildren, Jaycee, Hagen, Myah, Chloe, and Rorey; sister, Nola Howell.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don and sister, Bonnie.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17th at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, UT.  Friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and from 12:30- 1:30 p.m. prior to the services at the mortuary.  Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
