Joan W. Taylor
ROY – Joan Wilson Taylor, 64, our loving mother, wife, grandmother, stepmother, sister, aunt and friend, returned home, peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
She was born September 28, 1945 in Ogden to Elwood and Norma Harris Wilson who preceded her in death. She was raised in the Ogden are and attended Weber High School.
Joanie married her love, Paul R. Taylor, on January 18, 1994. They loved to travel and had many adventures.
The joy of her life was spending precious time with her family and many grandkids. She always had an open door for every stray that fell upon her, whether people or pets. She was a very generous and loving woman to all who knew her.
Joanie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Roy 11th Ward and loved her Heavenly Father.
Joanie is survived by her husband and children, Julie (Timmy) Dinsdale, Brigham City; Jodie (Shawn) Kane, Syracuse; Matt (Melena) Thomas, West Point; Mandy (Rob) Kinmont, Clinton; Mike (Betsy) Page, Portland, OR; seven stepchildren, numerous grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Dennis (Judy) Wilson, Clinton; Susan Walpole, Lehi; Darlene (Mike) Funk, Layton.
She is loved and will be missed dearly.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
