Mrs. JoAnn Jackson passed away on August 27, 2012 at Davis Hospital following complications from a heart attack. Born at home in Wakefield, Nebraska, she was the third of four children born to Ernest and Clara Lundahl.

JoAnn was raised on a farm in Nebraska and was educated in Wakefield schools, graduating in 1952.

Later she moved to Denver Colorado, where she met and married SSgt. Estiel Jackson USAF on August 7, 1959. They were married 53 years, living in Colorado, Alaska, Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Utah. Together they raised 3 children and 9 grandchildren.

JoAnn was a fantastic cook and homemaker and most enjoyed spending time with her loving husband and family. She loved spending time in her home flower garden and crocheting and knitting for her family.

She is survived by 3 sons: Michael of Sandy UT, Lance of West Jordan UT, and Wade of Fort Worth TX. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren: Ariel, Caitlin, Andrew, Tyson, Samuel, Lillianne, London, Ryder and Lacy Jay. She is also survived by her brothers Earl and Levern of Wakefield Nebraska.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother LeRoy.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 31, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Light of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1074 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, UT 84041. Flowers or memorial donations may be sent to Light of the Valley Lutheran Church.
