OGDEN a€" Joanna B. Tsournos, 71, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her home.

She was born July 6, 1938 in Vourvoura, Greece, a daughter of Panagiotis and Ageliki Mantas Bolovis.

On May 29, 1966, Joanna married Ted P. Tsournos in Ogden.

She worked as a seamstress and also a homemaker.

Joanna was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration.

Above all, Joanna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Ted, son, Pete Tsournos, one granddaughter, Evangelina, two brothers and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tula, sister, Eleni, her parents, and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration, 674 a€" 42 Street, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
