Joe P. Musgrove

August 13, 1932 ~ April 30, 2015

Joe P. Musgrove passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 30, 2015 at his favorite place in the world, next to the beautiful mountain of Star Valley, Wyoming.  He was born to Robert and Irene Musgrove on August 13, 1932 in Delight Ark.  He married Rosemary Fessler on January 6, 1971 in Elko, Nevada.

He enjoyed sitting on his patio in the summer at Star Valley, waiving at all his friends that drove by in the golf carts and cars.  Many would stop by and most visits ended up with a couple drinks and a whole lot of laughs.

He loved that his kids were able to buy lots right next to him.  He enjoyed fishing with his son and helping his daughter figure out how to operate her golf cart and trailer.  He loved the cooking from his other daughter, especially her cookies and lasagna.

Joe and Rosemary enjoyed many dinners with his son, potluck with friends, and smoothie drinks at night with his daughter.

Joe enjoyed helping his friends with projects when he could; he was the best tree trimmer of all.  Much skepticism was made when he trimmed his trees, looking at them you would never think they would live, but they were the most beautiful trees in the park.  As Joe got older, he gave up golf, but went out once in a while and chipped some balls with his son.

In the winter months, Joe and Rosemary headed to Yuma and Quartzite, AZ spending fun times with many of their dear friends.  He was able to enjoy the last couple of years with his son and Tracy, which was the highlight of his trip.

Joe and Rosemary joined the FA-COW-EE tribe many years ago, a fun group of valued friends, which traveled all over in their trailers, tents or boats, whichever their venture took them.  His passion was traveling on dirt roads or taking different routes to see where they would lead to.  He enjoyed history and traveling to historical landmarks.

He served four years in the US Air Force with the 17 ^th Bomb Wing and the 75 ^th Air Depot Wing during the Korean War.  He was stationed at Hill AFB where he worked as an aircraft mechanic.  He later retired as a Material Manager in 1987.

He and Rosemary moved to St. George (Ivins) Utah where they resided for 21 years, then moved to Clearfield in 2007 to be closer to his family.

Joe is survived by Rosemary his beautiful wife of 44 years; his three children, Vicki (David) Stevens, Pleasant View; Debra Hartman, Clinton; and Rodney Musgrove, Clinton; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sonya (Robert) Bilbrey, Irving, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and his daughter-in-law.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
