Joe Floyd Vigil, 77, was born January 28, 1945 in Dragerton, UT to Eufracio Sr. and Louisa Vigil and was reunited with them June 28, 2022. Joe Floyd passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the hospital.
Joe Floyd grew up in Dragerton, UT where he met the love of his life, Arlene Gonzales, and were married July 13, 1963. Joe Floyd and Arlene had an amazing 59 years together where they have raised 2 boys, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Joe Floyd worked in many fields throughout the years and found his way to Hill Air Force Base where he worked for 38 years making many friends and always smelled like aircraft fuel before retiring. He was always a jokester and making people laugh.
Joe Floyd enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, traveling, but most of all he loved his family. He was a family man through and through, he loved to make people laugh and smile.
Joe Floyd is survived by his wife, Arlene; his two boys, Perry (Beth) and Terry (Luann) Vigil; his 4 grandchildren Colton Vigil, Shelby (Joe) Fielding, Colby (Spencer) Hyde, and Shalee Vigil; his brother Leve Vigil and his sister Lucinda (Tony) Perez.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eufracio Sr. and Louisa; his brothers Eufracio Jr., Emilio, Fidel; his sisters Clara, Sophie, and Juanita.
Friends and family will be able to visit starting at 9 A.M. Saturday July 9, 2022 and Service starting at 10 AM at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary at 1867 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah, 84041.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday July 9, 2022 at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
