Joffre Ollivier Stephenson

SYRACUSE a€" Joffre Ollivier Stephenson, 95, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the South Davis Community Hospital of causes incident to her age.

She was born July 30, 1915 in Heber City, Utah the daughter of Joseph Ollivier and Susan Alexander.

She married Leonard J. Stephenson on January 31, 1934 at Pocatello, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 30, 1942.

Following their marriage, she joined the LDS Church and has been an active member since then. While living in Lava Hot Springs their six children were born. After 25 years the family moved to Syracuse, Utah where she lived until the fall of 2004 when her physical condition necessitated her to move to the Apple Tree Care Center in Kaysville, Utah. She resided there until her health required closer attention and she moved to the South Davis Community Hospital, Bountiful, Utah.

Surviving are her children and their spouses: Carolyn Sue (Paul) Howard of Centerville, Utah; Leonard (June) Stephenson of St. George, Utah; Dee (Barbara) Stephenson of Kaysville, Utah; Ross (Sherry) Stephenson of Houston, Texas; and Marcia (David) Beach of Kaysville, Utah; 17 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Foch, daughter Beverly, and a granddaughter and grandson, Stephanie and Kevin Yoachum.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends may visit family Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
