John J. Badey Jr.

John J. Badey Jr. 59, died at his home Saturday on May 14, 2011. He was born Aug 26, 1951 in Clayton, New Jersey and entered the Air Force in April of 1970 as an aircraft mechanic. After a break in service from July ''79 to November ''82, he returned to active duty and finished a 30-year career retiring honorably as an Air Force Chief Master Sergeant. During his long and distinguished career, he led with distinction during both combat operations and peacetime training. John dedicated his professional life to the Air Force as an integral part of the Air Force Maintenance community and he touched many lives. Unanimously amongst his fellow warriors all, he will be sorely missed.

John is survived by his wife Inge, whom he loved very much. He will also be remembered for the other great loves; fighter aircraft, his yorkies and a great round of golf with good friends.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
