John Dominic Benstog

John Dominic Benstog passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2017.  He was a kind and gentle man with a deep compassion for animals.  He never wanted to burden others.  As Don McLean sang, “This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.”

John is predeceased in death by his father Joseph Benstog.  He is survived by his son Phillip and Christina Benstog; his granddaughter, Harper Benstog; his mother, Donna Benstog; brothers, David and  Barbara Benstog, Patrick Benstog, Tom Benstog, Paul and Lola Benstog; and sisters, Becky and John Reis, and Laurie and Dean Rackham.  He is also survived by Bill Hegstrom, who he considered his brother, as well as many other cherished and beloved family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a favorite animal rescue.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Andrews’ Residence, 2999 S 2550 W, West Haven, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
