CLEARFIELD a€" John Albert Beutler, 87, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in Salt Lake City surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 30, 1920 in North Logan, Utah the son of Alfred and Rose Schwartz Beutler. He married the love of his life and his eternal companion Jennie Lile Kern in the Logan Temple June 3, 1943. This happy union brought four children into their lives, three daughters and one son.

As a young man he learned the value of work, hard work, farming and working the Beutler farm. He never quit working all of his life. The automobile business became his passion and he co-owned and operated B and B Auto Sales and then owned Beutler Auto Sales for many years.

He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served faithfully all of his life. People affectionately know him as Bishop Beutler. He also served in the Clearfield Stake Presidency and as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple for many years. His dedication to his faith and his service to his fellow man has been an inspiration to all especially his family.

The greatest joy of his life was his sweetheart Jennie. They have enjoyed 64 years of loving, caring, companionship and have truly been an inspiration of what a perfect marriage can be.

He is survived by his children Joanne (Bill) Isakson, Clearfield; Janine (Blair) Rogers, Pleasant View; Janice (Bobbie) Miller, Syracuse; and John (Valerie) Beutler, Layton; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wallace, sisters Eva Schaub and Clara Beutler.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 3rd Ward, 168 E. 300 No. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.

The family suggests donations be considered to the Church Missionary Department.
