John Liston Eaves

Beloved husband, father, and brother, John Eaves was killed in a tragic accident at his home on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the age of 50. He was born January 23, 1963 to Gary Liston and Carol Beth Woodhouse Eaves in Mesa, Arizona. He grew up in Payson, Utah with his eight brothers and sisters and settled in Layton, Utah with his lovely wife Denise Eaves where they raised a happy family of three sons and one daughter.

John was a very active and loveable man; he loved sports activities such as golfing, skiing, and boating with his family. He also made a trade for much of his life as a contractor but settled into a General Management position at the South Ogden Costa Vida where he was loved greatly by both his employees and customers. Anyone who knew John knew that he always had a reason to laugh, and that laugh was contagious. He truly lived and loved life to its fullest.

Although John loved much of what life had to offer, his pride and joy was his family. He met his wife, Denise Jones, while studying at Snow College and married her on May 17, 1985 in the Salt Lake Temple. Nothing was closer to his heart than his wife and four children. He led and loved his family as a faithful member of the LDS Church, always setting an example of love, charity, and hard work.

John was preceded in death by his mother, father, and step-father, Floyd Schramm. Survivors include his wife, Denise, his three sons Gary, Brad (Liz), and Cody (Brooke), his daughter Brittney, and his eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
