John “Jack” Dell Fabre, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Thursday, July 2, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital.
He was born September 5, 1930 in Great Falls, Montana to Russell and Ruth Irene Schafer Fabre. He was raised and educated in Great Falls where he graduated from high school and college.
On October 7, 1950, Jack married Maxine Cook in Great Falls, Montana.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Jack retired from the U.S. Government Department of Defense as a chemist.
He loved to build furniture when he was young. He especially enjoyed being around his family, spending time in his yard and going for rides.
Jack is survived by his wife, Maxine; their children, Jacqueline Wallmann, Laura (Henry) Kidd, Penny (Kent) Spencer, Jaime (Anna) Fabre, John (Sherrie) Fabre; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike Fabre and two sisters, Bonnie Fabre and Nancy Griffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and three sons, Stephen, Bruce and Timothy.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 9th at 1 p.m. at the Taylor, Idaho Cemetery.
