CLINTON – John Herbert Fossum, Jr. passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at his home.
He was born February 4, 1955 in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania to John Herbert Fossum, Sr. and Janet Laura Anderson Fossum.
On July 27, 1974, John married Diane Pearl in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
He served in the United States Air Force during Desert Storm as a Master Sergeant. He retired from the Air Force to work for Utah Railway as a locomotive engineer.
John was a member of the American Legion in Clearfield.
He loved camping, fishing, hunting, cooking, gardening and playing with his grandkids.
John is survived by his wife, Diane; two sons, Shawn (Raylene), Shane (Cherish); two daughters, Kelly and Lori; five grandchildren, Shelbie, Aspen, Tatum, Chaz, Chase; his father, John H. Fossum, Sr.; and two sisters, Janet Mary and Bette.
He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Jay and two sisters, Barbara and Pat.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13th at 3:00 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 5560 South 2300 West, Roy.
Family and friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment, Fort Snelling Veterans Cemetery, St. Paul, MN.
