John William Gallo
LAYTON a" John William Gallo, 48, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in Layton.
He was born February 20, 1960 in Sonoma, California the son of the late Domingo Gallo and Marian E. Steele. John''s father was the oldest son of a well known vineyardist family which immigrated to San Francisco and Sonoma Valley, California around 1912.
Survived by his mother Marian Steele, three brothers, Charles, James, Scott, four sisters, Debbie, Elaine, Lisa, Janice, and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was a member of the LDS Church. He loved the church and served two missions at the Bishop''s Storehouse and volunteered there for several years. John enjoyed scouting, earning his Duty to God Award. He worked at Deseret Industries in Mesa, AZ for several years.
He loved the watching the Jazz play, enjoyed playing basketball with his brothers, bowling, fishing, sports, and had a talent for painting.
He was an honorable man, loving son, and constant companion to his mother. He did not have an enemy in the world. He will be missed by his family, many friends and co-workers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p. m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
