John Arthur Gibson

John Arthur Gibson passed away on December 11, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on September 7, 1926 in Hanwell, Middlesex, England. He was the third son of John Arthur Gibson and Dorothy Daisy Dabbs.
John was married to Gisela Fischer Gibson on March 20, 1948 in Hamburg, Germany. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 8, 1954.
He earned his calibration machinist certificate and worked on his trade throughout his life. He served in the British Royal Army and found the love of his life in Germany while serving his country. He immigrated to the Unites States and became a US citizen. He lived in Hawaii, Washington, Arizona and Utah.
John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a faithful home teacher, finance clerk and he held several other callings, but his favorite was working with the youth. He served a take mission as well as a mission with his wife to Frankfurt Germany. He was a temple ordinance worker and sealer.
John is survived by his children, Astrid (Steve) Lawerence, Kent Washinton; Bianca (Clay) Malmstrom, DesMoines, Washington; and Kurt (Jill) Gibson, Farr West, UT; a younger brother, Graham (Karen) Gibson, Chesham, England; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gisela Fisher Gibson and son, Derek Fischer Gibson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Farr West Chapel, 1800 West 1880 North, Farr West. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
