John Allen Haynes

OGDEN - John Allen Haynes, 74, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014. He was born on January 8, 1940 in Newark, Ohio to William B. and Helen O’Connor Haynes.
He married Tina Kay Simmons on August 30, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan.
John was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a carman. He also worked for Fife Rock products and in construction. He was “a man of all trades”. John was always lending a helping hand and loved helping others.
He took great pleasure in being in the outdoors going hunting, fishing and camping with his family. John enjoyed working on cars and playing pool and horseshoes. He was very talented at telling jokes and had a great sense of humor. He also loved to dance and listen to the “oldies”.
John is survived by his loving wife, Tina; his children, Renee (Steve) Close, Salt Lake City; Paul Haynes, Ogden; Jason (Michele) Haynes, Harrisville; and Travis (Melissa) Haynes, Uintah; nine grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Michael) Yentz, Pat Griffith, Jeanene “Rusty” Ziglar, and Judy Skrobol all of Orlando, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Haynes.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
