John William Huffman, Sr.

December 16, 1932 ~ June 30, 2014

John William Huffman, Sr., 81, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home.

He was born December 16, 1932 in Cable, Ohio to William Carl and Lanor Rachel Oder Huffman.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Lord and spoke of getting closer to God.

He retired from Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and collecting. He also enjoyed fixing cars and T.V.’s.

John is survived by nine children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one sister, Shirley French. He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Phyllis, and one son, Stephen.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Clinton City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of George E. Wahlen Veterans Home and Bristol Hospice for their excellent care and support of John and his family.
