John Duane Hughes

November 25, 1952 — November 18, 2023

In Loving Memory of John Duane Hughes (November 25, 1952 to November 18, 2023)

John Duane Hughes, the son of Emery Hughes and Lorraine Pierce, passed away on November 18, 2023. He was dedicated to his family; a husband of 47 years to Rene Raitt, loving father to Nicelle and Jonathan, cherished brother to Dean and Delon Hughes, and doting grandfather to James, Emerie, Dax, Zyiah, Ivy, and (soon) Mac.

Professionally, John was the heart and soul behind Toad Tape and Pollywog Pottery. His artistic vision and entrepreneurial spirit brought joy to those who had the privilege of experiencing his creations.

As we remember Johnny, let us reflect on the love he shared, the beauty he created, and the impact he had on the lives of those around him. May he rest in peace, his memory forever a place of art and music.
