John Arthur Jones

John A. Jones passed away on May 1, 2013 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born in IdaBel, Oklahoma on September 9, 1922 to L.V. and Anne Leamon Jones.

He joined the U.S. Navy when he was 18 years old. After serving in the U.S. Navy he married Jeanne Jones and together they raised seven children. They were later divorced. John married Betty and the two of them traveled around the country enjoying life and their time together. Betty passed away in 2005.

John retired from HAFB after 30 years of service.

For the last eight years John has lived in Arkansas and enjoyed fishing, camping and doing all the things he loved. For the last 2 A½ years he has been living in a cabin in Arkansas on a beautiful lake with his son Mike, who he referred to as his partner and best friends. The rest of the family, are grateful to Mike for making dads last two years so happy.

He is survived by his sons, Rich Jones, Mike Jones, Brad Jones, daughters, Judy (Darwin) Greene, Shari (Mark) Cain and Bobbie (Keith) Auvil. His oldest daughter Judy passed away two days after her father. Also surviving are Betty''s children, Richard, Annett, Cindy, brother, Gene Jones, sisters, Stella Moody, Ruby Ellis, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and his very special daughter-in-law Cindy Palmer.

Memorial services will be held Monday, May 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Inurnment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
