John Ezra Kirkland

John passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Kirkland, and his brother, Leslie Stephen Kirkland. Also, his stepson, Harry Travis Wilkinson. 

John is survived by and dearly missed by his daughter, Amy Allee; his grandchildren, Zachery John Allee, Serena Adeline Allee and Angelina Darlene Allee; in addition, his two step-grandchildren, Alysha Rae Allee and Cody Nicholas Allee; his siblings, Dennis Kirkland (MaryAnne), Larry Kirkland (Susan), Sandra Durrant (Kevin), Susan Wilson (Kyle); and his many nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his former wife, Leah Adeline Kirkland; and the children he raised as his own with her, Wyatt Wilkinson (Marissa), Kari Ward (Burke), Jane Davis, Eric Wilkinson and Piper Montemayor.

If he loved you, you were lucky enough to know it. If he didn’t, you probably knew that, too.

His passions were family, friends, Louis L’amour books, fishing and the open road. He could spend hours telling you stories about his youth and all the crazy things he did. He loved to go for long drives up through the mountains and listen to his favorite music. He attended many concerts and loved all the classic rock bands. He was a loyal friend and he never failed to help those he called friend out.

His advice to you – take the time and go fishing.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
