JOHN McKAY KUNZ
John McKay Kunz, the son of Vernon and Lori Kunz and brother of James Kunz died 17 December 2009 at home as a result of the cancer he has valiantly battled for over 3 years.
Born 10 January1993 in Bountiful, he has always been a joy to all those who know him. He loved Bountiful Elementary School and his years there. Cancer entered his life while at Millcreek Junior High. Despite operations and treatments, he still chose to keep going. He participated in the NAL (National Academic League) all 3 years. He is currently a student at Bountiful High School. More important to him, even than school, has been his activity in the LDS church. He has served faithfully in his priesthood duties. He officiated at the Sacrament table until 2 weeks before his death. His home teaching was completed each month from when he was called until this very month. He found great joy and pleasure in doing genealogy work. This work he will continue now in the Spirit World. While still undergoing treatment, he earned his Eagle Scout! His great example will be his heritage, as he kept a cheerful, thankful attitude. www.problemconsultants.com/jmk chronicles much of the last half of his battle and helps you know him better. . In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his grandparents: John and Carolyn Kunz, Jim and Carole Cole, Jim and Cherry Grisham and great grandfather Pete Nickolas.
