JOHN SCOTT LANCASTER
1971-2021
John Scott Lancaster, 50, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of December 2, 2021. John is survived by his wife of 11 years Josie, his two daughters Taylor and Jemma and his son Jerem. He is also survived by his mother, Charlene, his sisters Susan, Karen, and Janice, and his brothers David, Larry and Robert. He is preceded in death by his father Donald and his sister Christina.
Born on August 2, 1971 in La Mesa, CA, John is the middle child among his siblings. At the age of 19, he served an LDS mission in Hong Kong where he grew a passion for Asian culture. He was a thrifting enthusiast who was always trying to find the best deals at the local secondhand stores. This hobby served his knack of being a handy man, as he used his mechanically inclined skills to fix the salvageable items he discovered.
He valued his career as a logistics specialist (truck driver) for Double D Transportation. But, when he wasn’t on the road for work, he loved spending time with his wife, children and other family members.
A viewing is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at his church on 1500 South 600 E in Bountiful, UT. A burial will conclude the service at the Bountiful City Cemetery on 2224 South 200 W in Bountiful, UT.
In light of this unfortunate circumstance, please support his family as they navigate through these troubling times.
