John Josiah Lindsay

John Josiah Lindsay was born July 7th, 1917 in Eden, Utah and died September 5th, 2015 in Layton, Utah.
He leaves six living children: Carol, LouAnn, Carl, Blaine, Darlene, Kathy, and two deceased children: Jane and John "Brent", as well as eighteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded by two wives: Cathern Burnett Lindsay and Ella Baker Lindsay.
John worked at the REA Express for 30 years before retiring to Roy, Utah. He danced to big band music almost every Saturday until he was 95, loved gardening and playing cards with his family and friends. He was known for his dedication to family, wonderful outlook on life and wearing his signature bolo ties. John was, and is, deeply beloved by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 9th at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
