John Toone Love

LAYTON a€" John Toone Love passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at his home in Layton from a courageous fight from a lung and heart disease.

John was born in Croydon, Utah April 4, 1937, the son of James Hugh and Lila Toone Love.

He married Ruth Buck on July 3, 1957 their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS temple in 2007. They lived in Layton, Utah where they raised their four children.

To know John was to know, strength, endurance, passion, work ethic and unconditional love for his family and friends. John used his wit and his sense of humor to teach those around him all of these virtues, as well as how to enjoy life.

He was a member of the LDS Church and the Klunker Klub.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and a great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, son Hugh (Karlene) Love, Preston, ID; John W. (Diane) Love, Dan R Love, Layton, UT; and Sheila (Lon) Stark, Clearfield, UT; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and sister Isabelle (Paul) Watts, Layton, UT.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Applegate Hospice, especially Sherry Wadman, for their patience and care for John. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff at ICU and the 2nd and 3rd floors at McKay-Dee Hospital
