John Michael Martin

John Michael Martin, 60, passed away November 14, 2008 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born January 9, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John C. Martin and Evelyn Carlson. On June 7, 1975 he married Diane Louise Colby.

He enjoyed reading, and was an artist. He constructed authentic to scale reproductions of military aircraft. He loved playing with his dog Trixie and also jeeping in his 1978 CJ5 Jeep. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed target shooting. He loved his grandchildren immensely and was anticipating the birth of two more grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Diane and their four children. Jason Michael Martin (Liza), Alissa Marie VanTassell (Jeff), Jennifer Lynn Mendoza (Marcos) and Elizabeth Ann Martin; seven grandchildren; brother Marc Martin and sisters Jan Van Tussenbrook (Terry), Karen Smith and Karyl Gibson (Paul). He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday November 18, 2008 at the Val Verda 6th Ward 2651 S. 500 W. Bountiful UT. Friends may call Monday November 17 from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. and Tuesday 9:45-10:45 at the church prior to the services. Interment Bountiful Memorial Park.
