John Dean Moss

“Together Again”
John Dean Moss, 91, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. February 14th was a perfect day for Dean to be reunited with his eternal companion, family and friends.
Dean was born March 12, 1926 in West Point, Utah to John J. and Rebecca Aslett Moss. In July of 1951, he married his sweetheart Janet LuJean Dickamore in the LDS Logan Temple. Dean and Janet were blessed with four sons: Daniel, Robert, Ronald, and Ricky.
He had a passion for farming; as the years went by his farming scaled into gardening. Dean always kept an enormous, beautifully planted garden and always had more than enough. He would share the fruits of his labors with his family, friends, and neighbors. Dean had a pumpkin patch large enough for his grandkids to come and pick pumpkins not only for themselves but for their classmates at school as well.
Dean was a member of the Farm Bureau. His passion for farming and hard work was instilled in his boys. Taught by his example, Dean’s sons understand the value of hard work.
Dean is survived by his four sons, Daniel (Jann); Robert (Debra), Declo, Idaho; Ronald (Shirley), Syracuse; and Ricky of West Point; along with 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister, brothers and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the LDS West Point 18th Ward Chapel, 2865 West 800 North. A viewing will be held for family and close friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, West Point City Cemetery.
