John Anthony Perry passed away peacefully Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the age of 96, while surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 15, 1914 in Ogden, Utah to Richard and Mary Perry. He lived his whole life in Ogden. He graduated from Weber High School in 1932, then went on to continue his education and graduated from Weber College in 1935.
On November 24, 1939, John married Delores Anderson. She died January 25, 2004 after 65 years of marriage. Together they enjoyed hosting many bus trips all over the United States. They made numerous friends and had wonderful times together along the way. They had one loving son, Gerald John Perry.
John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At the age of 95, he felt inspired to be sealed to his loving wife, Delores, in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1977 after many years of dedicated service.
John is survived by his son, Gerald, Ogden; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Olsen, Plain City; four grandchildren, Lisa Cassity, Lori (Brian) Bott, Leslie (Kevin) Farnsworth, Lance (Heidi) Perry, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister, Thelma Priest and a brother-in-law, Don Olsen.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 28th at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.
The family will meet with friends for a viewing on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
