CLEARFIELD a€" John Samuel Reese, Sr., 75, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008.

He was born September 18, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Samuel and Phyllis Delliskave Reese.

John married Wanda Jones on January 9, 1954 in Salt Lake City. She preceded him in death on February 10, 1998.

He retired from Hill AFB.

John lived for swap meets, auctions, antiques and collectibles. He loved his flower gardens and liked playing cards and BINGO.

Surviving are four sons, Randy (Kaye) Reese, Holliday; Sam (Elvera) Reese, Layton; James (Jan) Reese, Mt. Pleasant; Joe (Robin) Reese, Santa Clara; Matt Reese, Clearfield; daughter Linda (Ray) Brazier, Hurricane; 30 grandchildren, 61, great-grandchildren, brother Jim Reese, South Jordan; and sister Lucille Bartholemew, Salt Lake City.

Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, wife Wanda, son John Jr., grandson, John III, grandson Barry Reese and sister Florence Melonas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 12:45to 1:45 p.m. prior to services at the mortuary.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
