John Leslie Rhodes

John Leslie Rhodes, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.  He was born on February 13, 1931 in Greenfield, Iowa, the son of John E. and Clara Putnam Rhodes.

He married the love of his life, Georgia Buzianis, on November 22, 1962 in Elko, Nevada.

John was a Branch Chief in explosive safety and retired from Hill Air Force Base after many years of service.

John is survived by his sons, Michael (Kathy) Rhodes, Plain City, UT; and Daniel Rhodes, Ogden, UT; daughters, Rebecca (Carlos) Rhodes, Paso Robles, CA; and Rosemary (Pete) Cronkright, Atascadero, CA; 11 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Arlan Rhodes, Tooele, UT; and William Rhodes, Van Buren, Arkansas.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia; daughter, Leslie (Randy) Bunton; and daughter, Susan (Rodney) Musgrove.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration, 674 42nd St.  Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Trisagion Service at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Interment, Tooele Cemetery.
