Jack's name was very important as he as a "jack of all trades”, very mechanical and could fix anything. He began working at a young age of 14, doing various jobs, including Cal Interstate Telephone, where he was credited for saving another coworkers life. He then moved on to own two businesses, a plumbing and remodeling, and a grocery store. Jack was known for his industrial managerial and financial skills, which were in high demand in several states across the U.S. including the Riverside Cement Company in Cotton and Oro Grande, CA, and successfully managed the burn recycle plant in Layton, Utah.
His hobbies included refurbishing airplanes, wood working, snow skiing and was an accomplished artist, and an amazing chef.
Jack was a Master Mason his entire life, as well as joined the LDS church in December of 2012, and was active in his local community in Ogden and beloved by family, many friends, and neighbors. He will be sorely missed as he helped any one in need who brought up a problem to solve, and enjoyed figuring out difficult projects, plus did them well and was proud of his accomplishments.
At his request, there will not be a funeral or viewing available, but family or friends are asked to write their regards and memories of Jack at the email address listed. Jack will be cremated and interred at the Wilder, Idaho Cemetery next to his lifelong sweetheart Lois Ann Schmidt. Cremation entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
