John Wayne Wheeler

John Wayne Wheeler, 54, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at his home.

He was born April 5, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, New York to Lewis Jesse Wheeler and Udenne Patricia Goodliffe.

John had worked as a professional truck driver before his retirement. " Sometimes on that long highway we get lost but we never forget where we are going." ~ J.W.W. "Big John"

He loved eagles, pool, dancing, poker, camping, darts and was a member of F.O.E.

John is survived by his children, Todd W. (Kasey) Wheeler, Jeremy D. (Jessica) Wheeler, Christy L. (Tim) Barnes, seven grandchildren, father to few dad to many, a brother, James R. (Iris) Wheeler and sister, Marsha J. (Halley) Stevens.

He was preceded in death by his parents a sister, Kathy and a nephew, Matt.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 4th at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Cremation entrusted to Lindquist''s Crematory.
