John Joseph (Jack) Klecker passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. He was born October 17, 1936 to John B. and Wanda Klecker in Ellsworth Wisconsin. He grew up on the family farm and worked with his father on his dairy farm and livestock trucking business.
Jack graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1954 and then joined the United States Air Force. He had four overseas tours including Vietnam, Okinawa, England and Shemya, Aleutian Islands, and many stateside assignments. He earned the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service and three Air Force Commendation medals. He retired from the Air Force in 1974, as a Senior Master Sergeant. He then worked for the Clearfield Job Corps Center for 24 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the American Legion Post 134, life member of Layton VFW Post 8307, Disabled American Veterans and Knights of Columbus, St. Rose of Lima. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Jack married the love of his life, Marge in 1955 and they enjoyed 60 years together raising their family, traveling, hunting, fishing, camping and life. They had five children; Janet (Monty) Tow, Daniel (Jennifer), David, Ann (Danny) Schladetzky, Pat (Sue), 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Karen Cernohous. He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in law (Bob and Marion), his sister Elaine and brother Joe.
Jack will be dearly missed for his humor, knowledge, friendship and compassion.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit family from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. A vigil with Rosary will be held 7:30 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Military Honors will be performed by the Hill Air Force Base Honor Guard.
