WEST POINT a€" Johnny Curtis Rasmussen, 48, loving father, husband, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, went home on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 after a heroic battle with A.L.S. He was a strong positive person who dedicated his life to his family.

Johnny was born January 11, 1961 in Ogden, Utah to Verl and Yvonne Rasmussen. He graduated from Ogden High School.

He was a "John" of All Trades a€" there was nothing he could not master. His favorite toy was running a Wagstaff Crane. J.C. was employed at Wagstaff Crane Company for many years. His time as an employee with them was the best he ever experienced.

Johnny, known to many as "J.C.", loved to make those around him laugh and he always thought of others before himself. He had many friends and was loved by all.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy Marie Rasmussen, his children, Cherish, Chelice, ShyAnn, ShaeLee, Malachi, and granddaughter, Marissa.

Also surviving are his parents, four brothers, Randy, Russell, Mike, Matt, and sister, Judy Maxwell.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 7 at 11 a.m. at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 1770 East 6200 South, Ogden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: ALS TDI 215 First Street Cambridge, MA 02142.
