"Together Forever"
Joleen Bybee Stewart, age 84, our sweet loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great- grandmother, peacefully passed away on December 2, 2022.
She was the oldest of six children born to Kennard and May Bybee on January 23, 1938. As a young girl she spent a lot of time with her grandpa and grandma Bybee, and her two wonderful aunts, Melva and Dora. She loved them so much and made some of her favorite childhood memories with them.
While attending Davis High School she found her forever love, Ronald Stewart. They were married August 14, 1954 in Ogden Utah, and were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had six children, three daughters and three sons.
Joleen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a testimony of eternal families.
Family was everything to Joleen. She spent most of her time caring and worrying about her loved ones. She brought all of us a lot of joy with her caring heart. She would always take time to get to know each of our friends or her nurses, and was always mindful of others circumstances. She enjoyed crafts, painting, and had the most beautiful cursive handwriting.
We are joyful for the sweet reunion Joleen and Ron are having in heaven, along with her mother, father, two siblings, two sons, one grandson, and other loved ones who have passed before her.
Joleen is survived by four of her children, Debbie (John) Nottingham, Cathy (David) Dalton, Lonny (Jeanie) Stewart, and Patricia Martinez; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and three of her sisters, Carol (Ed) Fowler, Gail Betts, and Sharon Jorgansen.
Per Joleen’s request, the family will celebrate her life with a private graveside service at Lindquist‘s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
