SYRACUSE – Jolene King Dille, 74, passed away Friday December 27, 2013. She was born May 24, 1939 to Lawrence Hyrum and Josie Poulsen King in Taylor, Idaho. She later moved to Salt Lake City, UT with her family and attended local schools including West High School where she graduated. She married Douglas Dille who was her high school sweet heart on June 10, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. They honey mooned in California because Doug was in the Navy at the time. They had their first child, Layne Hyrum, while in Oakland, CA. They later moved to Hawaii where Doug was transferred. They lived in the small town of Aiea. While in the island their second child, Kevin Dean, was born. Moving back to Salt Lake City they had their third child, Teresa Marie and they moved on to Syracuse, UT in 1964 and had their fourth child, Sondra Kaye. Jolene loved to square dance and they did this for years until health issues brought an end to that activity. She loved to travel and see the world. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of-Latter Day Saints and held several positions over her years. Jolene is preceded in death by her parents, older brother Larry Joe King, sister Colleen Jones and her eldest son Layne Hyrum Dille. She is survived by her brothers, Robert (Kathy) King and Russell (Judy) King, sisters Anita Price and Kayla (Rod) Hamilton, and her son Kevin (Cheryl) Dille and daughters Teresa(Kelly) Browning and Sondra (Rich) Robinson. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Dr., Layton, UT. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
