Jon Ellis Perry

Our beloved father and grandfather, Jon Ellis Perry, departed this world and went home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, October 14, 2013.

Jon was born on October 19, 1940 in Garland, Utah to Ellis Marion Perry and Leola Barrus Perry.

He was a generous and loving man. His children and grandchildren adore him. He appreciated the beauty of nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. No one in need ever had a better friend.

Jon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He worked for Pillsbury for 10 years and then for American Nutrition until his retirement.

Surviving are his son, Michael Jon Perry and wife Ruth of Taylorsville; three daughters, Wendy Guison and husband Robert of Rogersville, MO; Sandy Perry of Ogden; and Michelle Castillo of Ogden; three brothers, Dean (Peggy) Perry, Claron (Evelyn) Perry and Rodney Perry; seven sisters, Ann Archuletta, Maxine Perry, Gayle Midget, Ida (Hunter) Hale, Mary Jane (Don) Milham, Margaret (Robert) Bush, Laurie Ruiz; 21 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Danny and Marion Perry and two sisters, Faye and Ellen Perry.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 19th at 11 a.m. at the Roy 10th Ward Chapel, 5900 South 3100 West.

Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
