Ogden – On Wednesday, March 20, 2013 the world lost a great man. Jonpaul “Tarzan” Painter, 39, passed away at McKay-Dee Hospital.
Born April 3, 1973 to John Robert and Grace Luella Ward Painter, he lived in Syracuse for most of his life and then spent his last four years in West Weber.
Tarzan was an amazing man who meant many things to many people. However, first and foremost, he was an amazing father to his son, Colby.
He was very strong-willed, as well as adventurous, exciting, and by far one of the most fun people you could ever meet. He loved his beautiful car, playing pool, hunting, and traveling with his son.
Tarzan will be truly missed by many people, but we know he will be at peace with his father, who was his best friend in the world.
He is survived by his son, Colby; three sisters, Jill, Heidi, and Wendy; and two brothers, Robert and Ory.
He was preceded in death by his father and his nephew, Randy.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1290 South 1000 West in Syracuse.
Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
