Jordan Mangel

May 4, 1992 ~ September 5, 2015

On the morning of September 5, 2015 at approximately 4 a.m., Jordan passed away at his home. Jordan Mangel was born in the town of Maracopia, Arizona on May 4, 1992. He was the third child of Kevin Carl Mangel and Alisha Miller. Growing up, Jordan was always a social butterfly, talking and making friends with everyone. He had this amazing smile that would light up a room, a contagious laugh, an amazing beard and was always dressed to impress. He always liked to be out doing something, whether it was hiking, hanging out with friends, spending Sundays out rafting the Weber River, relaxing at Pineview or golfing with his family. His two dogs Chief and Ziggy, snakes Lucy and Noodles, and iguana Guadalupe, were his babies.  His goal in life was to own land and make it into an animal sanctuary and join the Police Academy.

Jordan is so loved and will be missed by so many people.

The family would like to thank all of his many friends that stood by his side through his rough times. He considered all of you his family. We are going to miss his smile and laugh, his sense of humor, his ambition to better himself and his obsession to take in and save every stray animal.

Jordan is survived by his parents, Kevin (Amber) Mangel and Alisha Miller, his seven siblings, Darrian, Casha, Kasey, Ben, Delanie, Cody and Jonny; his brother-in-law, Chad; niece, Hattie; grandparents, many cousins, his partner in crime, Alex Wilson; and many precedent best-friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandma, Hattie; great-grandpa, Gary; Grandpa Mike, Grandma Nichols, Aunt Christy, and Cousin Jack.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
