Jory Francis

LAYTON – Jory Richard Francis, 42, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his home.

He was born March 24, 1974 in Rock Springs, Wyoming the son of Richard Carl and Rebecca Sue Barnson Francis.

Jory married Shelley Lundberg on November 12, 1998 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They were later divorced but never stopped hoping for each other’s happiness.

Jory was at times a man of contradictions: He had more friends than anyone, but was very alone.  You would always see him smiling and laughing, but sorrow and sadness was a constant.  He experienced very little traditional family love as a child, but was uncompromising in the love he had and showed for his children.  Jory will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his three sons, Gardner Francis, Spencer Francis, Charlie Francis, daughter, Lily Francis, parents, Sherilin and Dee Rowley, brothers, Chad (Linda) Curtis, Shane (Annette) Curtis, sisters, Michelle (Chris) Morris, Heather Rowley, Cydnee Rowley, Maegan (Will) Nelson and many nieces and nephews who loved and adored him.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Sheril and Edna Barnson, in-laws Steve and Virginia Lundberg and son, Jack Francis.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Wild Horse Springs Ward, 3161 W. 150 N., Layton.  Friends may visit family Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
