Jose Adorno

Jose Adorno, a devoted father, beloved grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A man of deep faith and unwavering kindness, Jose dedicated his life to hard work, service, and the people he loved most.

In his youth, Jose proudly served in the United States Army, where he cultivated a spirit of discipline and resilience that shaped his life. His remarkable skills as a woodworker and laborer were matched only by his dedication to his ministry at the church, where he volunteered his time and shared his faith with his community. Jose had a gift for storytelling and found great joy in sharing moments with friends and family, always offering warmth and wisdom to those around him.

Jose is survived by his children, who carry forward his legacy of love and devotion, Jose Adorno of Layton, Utah; Sonja Adorno of Clay Center, Kansas; Zurana Adorno of Clay Center, Kansas; Nora Adorno of Toa Alta, Puerto Rico; and Ronny Adorno of Manhattan, Kansas. He is also remembered with love by his son-in-law, Jafet Ortiz of Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, and daughter-in-law, Evangeline Adorno of Manhattan, Kansas. His grandchildren, Mariel Meyer of Layton, Utah; Adriana Adorno and Sophia Adorno of Manhattan, Kansas; Amanda Morales and Alexander Ortiz of Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, were the pride of his life. Jose’s legacy extends to his great-grandchildren, Lorenzo Emanuel Adorno and Nataliya Arteaga of Layton, Utah, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Jorge Luis Adorno and Mercedes Adorno, who shared in the bonds of family that Jose treasured so deeply. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cristina Cabrera, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership.

Jose Adorno will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering faith, and devotion to his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
