LAYTON a€" Jose S. Castillo, 83, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 peacefully surrounded by family.

He was born February 10, 1925 in Taft, Texas son of Rebecca and Encarnacion Castillo.

He married his best friend Solia Sepulveda on June 22, 1944 in Weslaco, Texas.

Jose was raised in Texas and moved to Utah in 1963. He is survived by his wife Solia, childen: Juanita (Ruben) Rios, Joe Jr. (Irene), Yolanda (Jesse) Avila, Jaime, Sandy, Joey, Jeff (Darlene), Jay and Stacey, two sisters, Julia Landeros and Nicholasa Torres, he was grandpa to 25, great-grandpa to 24 and great-great-grandpa to one. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two sons and two daughters.

He loved to do many things but his life was his family. He will be missed more than word can say.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 22, 2008 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Prayer service at 7 p.m.
