Jose Emeterio Martinez

JOSE EMETERIO MARTINEZ

1915-2015

Jose Emeterio Martinez passed away June 11, 2015 at St. Josephs Villa, after reaching the age of 100 years.  He was born March 10, 1915 in El Rito, New Mexico, son of Froilan and Maria Ester Alire Martinez.  Jose served in World War II in the United States Army. After many years he retired as a maintenance supervisor at the University of Cal Davis.  He enjoyed camping and fishing.

He is survived by his two sons and three daughters; his siblings Adelita Manzanares, Andy Martinez, Josephine Arroyo; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4^th Avenue and T Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Care entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.  Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com  The family wants to thank the staff of the East Side Second Floor for the special care shown to Jose.
