Jose Louis Vigil

WASHINGTON TERRACE – Jose Louis Vigil, 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. He was born in Redwing, Colorado to Benardo and Ruby Gonzales Vigil on September 20, 1932. He was a 50 years resident of Washington Terrace.
He served in the US Army and was stationed in Munich, Germany where he met and married the love of his life on September 1, 1955 in Munich.
Jose was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in several callings including a missionary at the Bishop’s Storehouse.
He loved to go fishing and always had a tale to tell. He also enjoyed the many camping trips at Sourdough. He loved spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren.
Jose is survived by his wife, Frieda; son, Gary (Mona) Vigil, Washington Terrace; his grandchildren, Hope Iris and Konnery Cage; brothers, Sam (Rienie), North Ogden and Henry (Esther), Denver, CO; sister, Elizabeth (Calvin) Cummins, Brigham City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Johny, Ferman, Del, Eugene, and Levy; and sister, Margaret.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
