JOSEPH LEROY CHASE “JOE”

1972-2014

Our cherished father, beloved soul mate, loving son, and loyal friend, Joseph Leroy Chase, closed those mischievous bright blue eyes for the last time on January 12, 2014 following an auto accident.  He was born March 17, 1972.  He was currently residing in Las Vegas, NV., although he grew up in Bountiful, UT.  He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1990, and went on to become a plumber/pipefitter with UA Local 140 for the next 23 years.  He took a lot of pride in his work, but his biggest joy in life was his daughter.  His passions included his family, ATV riding, traveling, and music, especially Iron Maiden.  He loved animals of all kinds and was known to bring home “friends.”

He is survived by his daughter, Jolynn Destiny Chase; long time girlfriend, Melanie Johnson;  father, Jack R. Chase; brother, Jack W. Chase (Heli); nephew, Alex Chase; grandmother, Mary Noffsinger and many extended family members.  He was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Chase, grandfather, William Noffsinger and his grandmother, Mildred Watkins.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at Saint Olaf Catholic Church, 1800 S. Orchard Drive, Bountiful, Utah.  Friends may visit with the family at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E.
