JOSEPH CASH DELAHUNTY

1927-2014

Joseph Cash Delahunty passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was born on December 14, 1927 to William Sylvester and Iza Violet O’Sullivan Delahunty in Perth, West Australia.  He married Marjorie Doxey in the Logan Temple on August 1, 1947.

Cash was a United States Army Veteran. He owned and operated Floor Coverings by Certified for 35 years.  He was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Bishop, Stake High Councilor, Seventies President, High Priest Group Leader, Temple Worker and Stake Missionary.   His many interests included fishing and Lapidary. He enjoyed working with his hands.  He enjoyed his family and was a committed father.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie; sons, Vaun, Murray, UT, Vern (Pam), St. George, UT, Alan (Linda) Draper, UT, Michael (Diane), Santa Clarita, CA; daughter, Debra (Bryan) Pulsipher Murray, UT; 24 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and brother, Colin, Bountiful UT.  Preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, 2 sisters and 1 great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Wilford Ward Chapel, 3179 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah.  A viewing will be held at the Church,Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Thursday, prior to the services.  Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.  Arrangements under the direction of Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
